Is John Surma still welcome in the Penn State family

Who??? I don't even remember that name....as far as I am concerned...guy never existed. Piece of crap.

I really don't know if there is a Penn State "family" anymore. If there

is, and it contains members like John Surma, Karen Peetz, Dave Joyner, Kenneth Frazier, Ira Lubert, Keith Masser, and their cronies, I'm not sure I want to be part of it.

Well said Fairgambit...but I am still in a family with many good folks like you.....don't forget that. We are....

No. And fairgambit, you are right. If there is a Penn State "family" it is highly dysfunctional at best.

He's as welcome as coming home and finding a turd on your welcome mat.

There never really was a Penn State "family" when it came to leadership

just a bunch of people looking out for themselves under the guise of "giving back"

Nashville, if it were not for people like you, nits74 who posted right after you, and many others here, I would have walked away from Penn State and never looked back. You guys help me keep my sanity and what hope I have left that some day we will find the truth, see justice served, and have a renewed pride in Penn State.

Ditto for me fairgambit. And Nashville will help keep the sanity. One of the more level headed posters on the board.

Yes, he is.

Thank you gentlemen. I appreciate that a lot. To all the fine ladies and gentlemen on this board...you mean a lot to me. If it was not for this board my wife would have probably killed me through the whole scandal drama. Additionally, so many of you have prayed for my family and I over the years and trust me I have prayed for you guys too. It is hard to believe I have been posting on this board for more than a decade.
To the good people of Penn State who love the place like I do...I commend you. We are ever loyal to our school that we love so much. We are....

I for one would love to see a "John Surma" appreciation day at The Beav......It might be cathartic. Well maybe not for Surma........

Eff No. I would like to meet up with Surma and throw a major body check on his sorry ass. He and P. Suhey are worthless POS.. Sorry for the emotion but it's real.

He wouldn't be in my family

This is the family who was so unaccepting of their gay son/nephew that they drove him to drug use, a career as a male stripper and eventually suicide. Why would anyone be friends with people who would do that?

Is this the same John Surma who was fired after US Steel's stock price dropped 90% under his 'leadership'?

I was in Pittsburgh last year at the Marriott and ran into a security guy for US Steel. This security guy used to work for Freeh. I was not that surprised that he now worked for US Steel. We talked and in summary I got the message Freeh was a nut case and bad dude.
Where there is smoke there is fire.
Question is: What really was the cover-up that would make Corbet and Surma sell their souls to cover-up?

Well, they fired him and from June 6, 2008 to May 31, 2013, with Surma at the helm, US Steel's stock value plummeted by 89%. I can't imagine employees nor shareholders hold any inkling of love for the bum.

US steel peaked at $186.93 on June 23, 2008. By Mar 2, 2009 it hit a low of $17.69. about a year later they recovered to about $65.70. But by the time Surma was canned, it dipped back down to $17.35. Currently trading at $26.95.

Johnny Boy joined the board of directors of a Texas oil company in 2014. The company is called Concho Resources (NYSE: CXO). They closed today at 123 and change. They have been flat for the last year, ever since you-know-who started to supply his expert leadership. I still have them as a short - it's just a matter of time till Johnny starts to work his magic.
