If they have had PSU that downgraded, then their guidance has certainly influenced some folks to bet the wrong way, as PSU has won the last 6 vs the betting line.
Don't confuse power rankings with chances of covering a spread. The same guys may have had PSU opponents ranked even lower and therefore may have still bet PSU in those games. Case in point, there was strong PSU support against OSU.

I don't know which I'd like better- GameDay in State College with nobody at all in the background, or nobody except for Bernie McCue and one other person holding a sign pointing at him that reads "Here's Your Star Witness for the 1970's Accusations."

Either that, or everyone who shows up is wearing khakis (with the cuffs rolled up), a white shirt with a tie, and a JoePa mask; they all stand silently and motionless, just staring at the talking turds.

Anything that goes against what that network wants...makes me smile. I seriously could not give a crap about what they say....media are scum..pure and simple.

Watch E$PN only when Penn State or Villanova are being televised. Thankfully I have FS1 for most Big East games, and BTN for much of Penn State stuff.
Won't listen / don't listen to Sports talk radio anymore either. I used to live in PHL -- was a long time listener of WIP, etc. I also eliminated Comcast SportsNet viewing as well - other than to catch Phillies games.
