It has begun . . . PS4RS will NOT endorse candidates in the upcoming BoT election

This sounds like a loaded question coming from me, but I genuinely don’t understand how anyone can say PS4RS has done one bit of good. I’d like to know how one can think otherwise because I’m at a loss.

This is why I have not donated a dime since the Fall of 2011 and unfortunately, tell the kids who call pimping for $$.
Those in charge of the university don't give a sh*t so neither do I. I'll watch FB games on TV and attend the occasional game, but I refuse to support an institution that refuses to stand up for itself or even acknowledge the truth, let alone fight for it.

ME TOO!!!!

Sadly, I am right with you. For me, Penn State is nothing more than a football program. Evil people have been allowed to succeed and there is no one to do anything about it. I no longer care. Just play football.

What about the Wrestling team?

To be fair I'm not sure any other candidate would have done much better. The alumni members are more or less marginalized given how few of them there are on the BOT.

That is fair. Intent matters, but DavidM would have had production on the board along with Lubrano.

PS4RS has made zero impact for 7 years running. That organization may as well voluntarily disband.

Don’t say that. It’s not true. They played a key role in getting nine old guard alumni elected trustees replaced. They pressured the Board to the point where many other Trustees rotated off. Equally important, they pushed hard for transparency. They didn’t stand on the sidelines and do nothing! They worked their butts off to promote fairness. Sadly, Pennsylvania is much more corrupt than anyone could have ever imagined.

I don't know what anyone at PS4RS thinks but I miss the days of Anne Riley's amazing contributions in the governance of the university. Such great vision and leadership. And yes, I'm being sarcastic. I'm not sure she did much of anything other than vote the way she was told to vote.

That is delusion at its finest.

IDK, did Adam T. actually cast a vote on anything that mattered? I remember him abstaining a lot.

She gave Mimi something to do.

Y'know, you watch that clip and it is so dog gone hard to believe that the PSU BOT and the national media thought that Joe Paterno actually enabled Jerry Sandusky. Absolutely mind-boggling.
I doubt the BOT actually thought that, but they apparently did think that he was the perfect scapegoat- and they were right.

I think that the PS4RS did shed a lot of light on the absurdity of Penn State governance. Unfortunately all it did was make a lot of people think what is the point. The deck is too stacked to try.
