them getting Malik Zaire. Is that true? I can't find the thread that would suggest that.

Frankly, I don't think we've been in full-blown psycho mode since the day of Lubert's coronation. Although, when O'Brien left, I guess that day we might have been. Some might say we were in full-blown psycho mode the night we beat tOSU, but with so many of us at the game, it was somewhat muted.

Some dude over there says that if they get Zaire, then they will be ranked in the top 15 going into next season. I didn't realize he was that good, particularly since he didn't play much this past year. Perhaps he was a secret weapon waiting to be unleashed.

One guy thinks that after playing for them, Zaire could be a first round NFL pick. Which is interesting, since he's not considered to have any potential at all to play QB in the NFL. And not even at Notre Dame, I guess.

Ok whoopie. Pitt got a transfer that was the backup for one of the worst teams in the country.

I suppose I could go ballistic but I really never heard of the guy since he didn't spend much time being THE guy.

I wasn't aware of many people here caring about where the kid goes. Those Pitt folk are making up stories again.

Because ND QB's that transfer out to get immediate playing time for a year do so well.....looking at you Everette Golson. No thanks!

Hooray we get a QB that was could not find the field at ND and could not go to his 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th choice so he settled with sPitt. Hey, whatever gets you excited before you St. Petersburg Bowl presented by Beef-O-Brady.

Yes. Zaire couldn't take top 10 recruits with him to the top 25 at ND but he's gonna lead Pitt offense to the top 15....;) ok

No one said first round draft pick and I read the entire post and didn't see anyone say he was a lock for all-acc either. But even though they never said either of those things, would it really be that hard to imagine that he could make All-ACC?

1. #10 in points per game.
2. #3 in play efficiency in the nation with 0.643 points per play.
3. #9 in points per drive with 3.13.
4. 3 out of 5 offensive line starters returning from a squad that gave up a total of 9 sacks on the season. #1 in Power 5, #3 in nation.
5. Zaire was ruled starter in 2015 before getting injured in the 2nd game of the season then barely lost starting job in 2016 to a projected 1st or 2nd round draft pick.
6. ACC most likely losing 2 of its 3 All-ACC quarterbacks to the draft and 6 starting quarterbacks in total (4-5 projected in the draft).
7. If Pitt's defense is as bad next year as it was this year, he certainly won't have to worry about getting a lot of opportunities for offensive drives.

If Pitt's offense is anything like it was this year, then it's not so crazy to make that prediction. Saying top 15 or 25 is definitely generous, but if they win their bowl it's not that far out there for preseason 20-25. It's definitely not a prediction that I'd make, but it isn't that crazy. Of course, if Canada leaves then that all goes out the window.

This year the All-ACC has 2 Heisman candidates and 3 total possible 2017 first round draft picks at quarterback. That most likely won't be the case next year.

They lose 3 of 5 offensive linemen.

Isn't it so nice we have such attentive, little bro trolls to fact check our posts? :D

Oh great now the sPitters are coming here to defend themselves... amazing how they don't stick to the liar board. Guess the 3 posters get tired talking among themselves...

They can sign Mobuto Sese Seko, and I'm indifferent. They don't matter

Sorry, troll is right. Rechecking thread, it somehow dovetailed into something about one of their offensive linemen, before going back to the QB. I probably missed that because when I read those threads, I periodically induce vomiting, like a bulimic, just to be on the safe side.

But yes, he is correct. It is Bisnoswaty that is somehow turning into a first round pick.

If Zaire was to be feared one would think he'd be good enough to beat out a QB that led their offense to the lofty 65th ranked unit in the country....one spot behind Temple.

May want to check with FSU to determine how well the last Brian Kelly QB transfer panned out in Everett Golson.

I'd like to know how I'm the troll? I come on this board because it's far more intersting at this point in the season than the Pitt board. Even though I am a Pitt grad, my family is split down the middle Pitt/PSU with 2 on either side. I only root against PSU when they play Pitt and have no problem giving Penn State credit when it is owed. I have said multiple times that I think PSU is are a top 8 team right now based on who they have played and I think they beat Wisconsin 30-24 and deserve a playoff spot when they do.

It gets tiring for rational people when there seem to be multiple weekly posts on either board exaggerating things about the other board. I come over here to try and add to conversations, you go to our board to to lurk and then post sensationalist stories over here.

Ugh........Pitt........doesnt.........matter.........they are irrelevant............turn the page.

He is not even going to go to Pitt. I think he is probably going to end up at MSU.

He isn't very good either. Can't blame the three of them for getting pumped up. He went to Notre Dame and their name was included in a transfer of a guy that couldn't even start there! Woohoo! Narduzzi is an awful recruiter. He makes people cringe because he doesn't promote Pitt so much as try to tear down his competition. I guess he doesn't feel like he has anything to sell.

Same thing happens on the Pitt board. Penn State guy goes over there hat in hand and gets killed. Even worse, gets called the dreaded N word (Nitter.) Heck, even real live Pitt fans get called Nitter if they have something to say that's not horrible about Penn State.

BTW: Ever think Loon Taco didn't get into PSU and that's the root of his hatred for all things Penn State? I think he should go on Dr. Phil -- him and Capt. Sidney Nutjob and maybe Pitt Chains. Make a nice threesome.

Good luck with a QB who wasn't even good enough to start on a 3 win team. Lol. He's all yours!!!

If he was that good he would be transferring to Michigan since they seem to get one every year!

In seriousness, they have a good young prospect QB who will be a redshirt freshman. They COULD choose to let him play, experience mistakes, and hopefully eventually prosper (see McSorley, Trace). Or they can bring in some graduate transfer and hope for immediate success from him. Of course, said prospect will still have to go through the painful growing process next year, thus delaying his maturity. It looks to me like Narduzzi doesn't care about the future all that much; he is not going to be there long-term (he hopes), so he is desperate for immediate success. He also knows that if/when they suck next year, it is going to hurt his chances to move on quickly, hence he wants to avoid it.

Seems clear to me that Narduzzi wants to make sure that he is out of there ASAP.
