So excited for tonight. No matter the result this team has done something that nearly none of us thought possible this year so let's show them as much love as possible.
I travelled the country visiting programs this season. Seeing the top teams in action and hearing their stories of redemption and come backs. I visited USC and Colorado and heard their fans excitement about being "BACK". I watched Texas beat ND and saw their fans proclaim national title or bust. We all know how that went. I also saw a PSU team fall 1 step short to Pitt and then take down the Buckeyes. I saw Oregon, Florida State, Baylor and others all fall. And through it all, I heard the doubts from the media, from friends and family. Penn State would trip up. They'd find a way to lose to someone they shouldn't. Franklin is overrated. McSorley's arm isn't big enough. We're too young. We can't compete with the elite.
Seeing the giants fall and rise, hearing the doubts and disrespect over and over again and feeling the pressure of 100,000 fans helps you appreciate the difficulty of achieving what this team has achieved this year. It's not easy. Compounded on top of that is what the team and community has had to endure over the past 5 years.
No redemption story is bigger.
So, enjoy every second tonight boys. We've all earned it. Cherish the moment because as I saw this year across the country and as we have experienced over the last 5 years it takes a while to get back to this level and staying at this level is very hard.
WE ARE back and I think this team is going to make a statement tonight. So cup your hands and get fired up. It always starts with I love you and ends with I love you.
Where my dogs at?
Let's ride!
