I saw a photo somewhere of Brelin FW signing paperwork. Is he also an EE?
Yes, We have 4 early enrollees as I understand it. Lamont Wade. Brelin. KJ Hamler....WR out of IMG Academy...and the big lineman Mike Miranda out of Ohio.

Yes. This is the bad news. The student athlete actually has to be enrolled before playing for Penn State. Clearly that means he did not get on the "Westbound 747".
Its a nice package of talent to come in and participate in Spring practice. 3 or the 4 could contribute in 2017. Just Hamler coming back from injury almost certain to redshirt.
Miranda - many project as a center and he's a big kid that could end up as our 2nd team Center. But CJF may try and redshirt him anyway. Still nice to have another option if there are a few injuries.
Faison-Walden - Speedy LB that could come in and get right on the 2 deep. Especially if Farmer can bulk up and contribute more inside.
Wade - will be competing for time at Nickel and at CB. And also as a returner. I believe he is a sure bet to play in 2017.
From the rest of our current commits I believe the most likely to play in 2017 would be Rivers at LB, Sutherland at Safety, and possibly Barber or Matos at DE but only if there are significant injuries at DE. We have nice numbers at DT, WR, CB (including Wade), and really on the OL now.
My guess it that even early enrolled O linemen will redshirt by default. McGovern did play this year, but I think this is the exception and not the norm.
Welcome to the family Lamont. I graduated 49 years ago and still amazed and grateful what a Penn State degree did for my life. You will never regret becoming a Lion.
Possibly, but Miranda is projected as a Center and losing Laurent together with CJFs desire to have a true 2 deep I believe does open the door for Miranda to play if he shows he's ready. Miranda as a backup Center would allow the rest of the interior linemen to settle into positions and stay there. Bates, McGovern, Gonzolez, ..
