I've obviously gotta raise my Christmas lighting game.

Check out this guy's Christmas lighting set up. Pretty frickin' awesome, although i'm guessing that the volume level may be a bit much for the neighbors after a while.

I was there last year. You actually tune your car radio to a certain channel and the music play through your car speakers. I'm sure the neighbors are more upset about the traffic in that development than anything else.

That's pretty common now, at least where I am. You must need an FCC radio license as it plays over FM frequencies.

When I was in college, the disco era, we used to build these light sets that were sensitive to sound. I built one that was pretty cool, I had different lights for different frequencies of sound. I had 25 lights or so and the green ones were the base (20 to 90 hz), Red ones were high end (15,000 to 20,000 hz). My guess is this is what they did.

Our neighborhood goes all out. I just don't go there anymore, just enough to make it ''christmassy" But most of the neighborhood do not cut their grass. They go with a landscape outfit that also shows up for Halloween and Christmas to light er up. As a further incentive, they show up with a plow should it snow. You can get all of this for somewhere between $500 and $800 per month (all year) depending on property size and how close to Griswald you wish to get. It's kind of a go to place if you decide to go lolligagging at Christmas decorations.

Maybe a Sandy should hire them as an assistant associate athletic director in charge of Beaver stadium lighting. Things have gotten somewhat tame since Guido left. ;)

I'm going this route next year

Leave it to a Penn Stater to ruin Christmas with the culture problem. :(

My guess is a DMX light controller.

Just one of many. Chauvet is usually very affordable. See people using there laser light gear for holiday lighting (Halloween, Christmas, etc.) https://www.chauvetdj.com/showxpress/

Some of them do sync with the frequencies. Looks like a lot of work.

That’s about 2 miles from my house. There will be a shooting there, eventually. Guaranteed.
If so, it’ll be that lady (Pam) that’s divorced. She is psychotic.

She called me for leaf cleanup 2 years ago and when I got there and explained how I charge for services, she flew off the handle and said “you have 5 seconds to get off my property or I’ll call the police and have you arrested for trespassing”. Good luck with that, but she didn’t have to tell me twice to leave. To be an asshole I sent her a bill for $47.50 for wasting my time.
