and have a Casino sponsor the stadium!!!!
The Supreme Court ruling that allowed every state to legalize sports gambling is expected to have a major impact on NFL revenues in the coming years and sponsorships from casinos are one way that teams will be able to cash in.

The Cowboys became the first team to announce such a sponsorship on Thursday. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones announced that Winstar World Casino and Resort in Oklahoma is the official casino of his team.

Oklahoma has not legalized sports betting, although a bill to do so was introduced during the last legislative session. No action was taken on the bill before that session came to an end.

Sports Business Daily reported last week that the NFL has relaxed rules against allowing sponsorships from casinos that operate sportsbooks in light of the Supreme Court ruling.

I know the Flyers and Comcast Spectacor had Sugarhouse Casino as a sponsor.

They should just have betting windows right at the stadium, that way people can go up and place bets on everything and anything. Replace some of the concession booths with on-line gambling machines. Or even better, just integrate them right into the seats like on newer airplanes. So when you sit down, you slide your card through and then the TV turns on and you can bet on the game as it occurs. Will the next play be run or pass, will it gain more or less than 10 yards.

I wonder what AT&T thinks of that arrangement.

I think you've mischaracterized it a bit. But, hey, it's an idea, just like holding concerts in Beaver Satdium is an idea. How is that working out?

The most lucrative college stadium naming rights deal is between Alaska Air and UDub at $4mm p.a. That would even pay for new urinals at the Beav. Actually, Sandy is probably thinking more along the lines of bidets.

Barbour is as good at calling balls and strikes, or at least the strikes part of it, as she is at running an athletic department. Speaking of which, isn't there this facilities master plan that we haven't heard a whisper about in almost 18 months? Yeah, I know, strike two.
