Football James Franklin presser updates - Indiana edition

Franklin will have discussions with the staff about multiple positions.

Olu Fashanu probably can be best described as questionable for Indiana based off Franklin’s comments.

Also says Fashanu’s families phones are ringing off the hook due to his draft stock increasing.
If Olu can't go and Wallace and Tengwell are still out, who plays the tackle positions? I assume Effner moves to LT and the Freshman Shelton goes @ the RT position? Wow, OL is trickling down rapidly.

If the OL is decimated by injuries, do we really want Allar out there? Seems silly to me. I am all in on Allar but behind a healthy line.

What the heck is going on? It is the same every year. It seems like Franklin is setting the table for a disappointing year end conclusion.

Because every time we lose a game, the naysayers on here say we won’t another game all year. Get blown out by Michigan and that means we have no shot against Minnesota. Lose a competitive game with Ohio State and we have no chance against MD or MSU. Sometimes it helps to let the games actually play out before you give up on the team. Just a thought.

Yeah, I'd have to agree. I want to see him get increased PT but he needs more starters on the OL for his own benefit and protection.

But they aren’t "decimated"...they have had a couple guys dinged up, and this happens to almost everyone by this time of year. They have zero depth and thats all in Franklin because this is year 9, not 4.

And let me add: who the hell loses a frigging STARTER for the SEASON on a God damn pregame warmup? As I said, they need to take a serious look at how they can't keep kids healthy on strength and conditioning.

1 year is bad luck, 9 is a frigging pattern.
