As a poster indicated in another thread, I would suspect that 2 of the coaches referenced in the NBC report are Tom Bradley and Greg Schiano. While you are correct that Paterno's staff did not have much turnover during his tenure, there may also be the possibility that some of the coaches referenced could be graduate assistant coaches - at least those referenced in the 2 incidents in the 1980's. The one incident in 1988 I believe referenced a coach seeing "sexual contact" while the incident in 1987 referenced one seeing inappropriate behavior. The "sexual contact" one seems troubling and I would like to know more of exactly what was stated by the coach in question and what, if anything, he reported about it. Caveat here - I am no lawyer nor am I an insurance expert, but I'm thinking that many of these acts witnessed by coaches pertain to Sandusky showering with kids in PSU facilities, which he seemed to do on a more than a few occasions (I believe Bruce Heim alluded to seeing Sandusky do just this on a few occasions in an interview after the Army game flap). Remember that at the time nobody was the wiser about Sandusky and the societal norms and attitudes were different so most people probably didn't give a second thought about Sandusky showering with kids (some of the coaches at my high school showered together with the players in the locker room after practice in the mid-80's). However, now that Sandusky is a convicted pedophile these acts of showering with kids could now be viewed as grooming activities and maybe child endangerment, which maybe the insurance companies are using/spinning to avoid paying out money - again I am no expert but I am thinking that could possibly be what we are seeing here. And depending on how and what questions were asked during the depositions a coach could now be answering a question with "the benefit of hindsight" and thinking that what he saw was now wrong given that Sandusky is currently in jail - again I am not a lawyer, but I am thinking that context could be playing a role here. If I remember correctly, I believe there were documents relating to the 1998 showering incident that indicated there was another adult in the locker room while Sandusky was showering with the 1998 victim, which could have been a coach. I believe Sandusky was convicted on charges related to the 1998 incident in 2012 (but someone can correct me if I am wrong here). So now if there was a coach in 1998 in the locker room while Sandusky was showering with a kid and Sandusky is later convicted on charges related to that 1998 incident, then maybe the insurance companies can use/spin that coach's presence in the locker room as now being a witness to something criminal (?). I will defer to the attorney's and any insurance people on the board to correct me if I am out in left field with my observations.
