this is a great speech by JD in France today at the AI conference. His theme is "How do we utilize AI for good?" as opposed to "How to we limit AI for protection?" This is getting behind the bus pushing instead of finding yourself in front of the bus trying to stop it. It is akin to people asking "How do we save horses from these infernal motor vehicles" or "How can we keep people from getting electrocuted by promoting candles over newfangled light bulbs?"
