The docket sheet is posted and shows an aggravated assault charge which is a felony. I'm sure that charge has something to do with physical contact with the police. Also public drunkenness, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and defiant trespassing. Considering all that it sounds like he was asked to leave and didn't want to.

Just looked up the officer's history - and "checkered" is certainly one way of putting it. Good heavens.

I thought I heard they were several witnesses who claim Porter did nothing wrong.
