Is that 150 in the first 30 minutes or you will be way under. Question is will Keanu kill more people than actual words he says in the movie.

Funny story .... I actually owe this board to my having originally watched JW1.
Years ago when JW1 was out, there were a bunch of other movies that same year. I believe there was a thread discussing the Oscar nominated movies, and someone on this board claimed that JW was the best movie of the year.... that post was immediately followed up with several other posts agreeing that JW was a really good movie..... peeked my curiosity .... I ordered JW off ppv that nite and been a JW fan ever since.
Who says these boards are a waste of time.

Little known fact. When he was young, Keanu Reeves trained for a time at the Hedgerow Theater in Rose Valley. He would hang out at the Rose Valley Swim Club where 2 of my brothers lifeguarded and I’d spend roughly 8 hours a day in the summer most of my young life. I don’t remember him but my brothers do - I think he came down during a year where I spent most days practicing soccer in advance of the season.
Anyway, word was he was kind of annoying but always had 2-3 hot, hippy theater chicks in tow. He’d also generally skateboard to the pool while wearing a speedo. True fact.

Just saw it tonight. My favorite was the homage to the Good, Bad, and Ugly when he starts taking apart the revolvers. Tuco did the same thing in TGB&U.
Btw- the first gunshot sound from the JW re-assembled revolver was from the open credits of tGB&U. (I think?).

I saw it last night. Didn't think it was good as the first two.
Interesting homage to other movies: The Matrix, Bruce Lee's The Game of Death, Conan the Destroyer, and Star Wars to name a few.

The Star Wars reference is that the Stormtroopers can't hit a major character, and no one can hit John, unless a major character by surprise.

The original was gold. This was “meh”. But the plot had to get over “everyone is after JW (seemingly about 25% of NYC)”. Hopefully this sets up good sequel and less Kung-foo (again a tribute to the awesome 1970”s). Winston was a favorite for me. I just dig that that they are embracing true action movie direction from the 80’s. It is refreshing. I can just be entertained and not be mentally drained after watching a movie.
I watched parts of both 1 and 2 last weekend. They were running a Wick marathon on TV. Could not tell the difference btw the two flicks ... same shoot 300 people in 5 minutes scenes over and over again ....
I thought John Wick 3 was great for what it is intended to be... it’s not making political statements or making viewers better people by having watched it. It’s a very elaborate and exciting action movie.
