Not defending him, but he hasn’t been with the team for very long. Can’t imagine he knows the playbook etc. plus the team was the worst in the CFL before he got there. Not sure that anyone expected much from his first game on a new team.

Who knows if he will be successful in the CFL. But not sure this game is a great barometer of future success

I'm kinda with you, Ranger. I'm not necessarily rooting for Johnny, but I'm not rooting against him, either. It would make for an interesting story if he was able to resurrect his career in the CFL and return to the NFL at some point. Provided he keeps his nose clean. I always liked Doug Flutie, and rooted for him in no small part because he was continually undervalued due to his stature, and therefore cast in the role of the underdog.

Watched a handful of plays. JF played his tail off. His ol was giving him zero time, he was creative and extended plays. One the second int, he scrambled and tossed it to a TE who popped a catchable ball into the air and right to the defensive safety. Defense wasn't stopping anything. If jf can keep his head together he'll be fine.

I agree. He's been an a-hole in the past. But the world needs less a-holes and I hope he grows up. I'd rather root for people to improve themselves than to root that they degrade.

off the top of my head, I said during that draft that there were at least 4 QBs better than him. Carr, Bortles, Bridgewater, Garappolo. Jeez, I think Savage got more PT

To his credit, he took responsibility after the game. I have never been a Manziel fan, but if someone is sincere about turning his life around (so far he seems to be), I am all for him.
