To start the year Stout was kicking off and booting pretty much every ball out of the back of the endozone. Now it appears we are back to our ways of trying to pin the team at the corner goal line like Ohio State does. Anyone else notice this shift in kickoffs? I liked Stout booting the ball and forcing teams to start at the 25 every possession. I always feel that the last thing psu needs is a 40 yard return setting up a lesser opponent with better field position and a shot of energy and there have been a few of those since they stopped kicking it out of the endzone.

Is he hurt? Change in strategy? We even had an illegal procedure kicking out of bounds I think against Purdue or Iowa plus a few squibs which really didn't make sense to me.

Just wondering. I've felt that kicking out of the endzone was a good strategy for this team to control field position. He was 12/12 kicking out of the endzone against Idaho.

Anyway you could ask CJF this at the next open practice?
