Nothing. He was a waste of NIL money to appease the fan base imo from the get go. Money spent on a genuine #1 would have made our WR room productive. Julian was never a number 1 at this level.
He had more catches at osu even with their loaded wr room. So it is a head scratcher
A number 3 can get open when a 1/2 are stretching the secondary.
Tough for a 3 to get open when there isn't a #1/2
Overrated coming out of a very small high school. Forget big fish/small pond, he truly was a whale in a fishbowl there. Had he been at a big PA high school he would have been good but nowhere near great.
Well, he did win the U$C game. Without that win, PSU is sitting out the process entirely!
That said, if he was the best we could find, our WR evaluation skills need to ramp up significantly…no where to go but up!
No USC win without him. In that regard he was worth the dollars. Great blocker too.
While he no doubt helped us win some games he was and is not the answer many of us hoped he would be. However we might not have gotten this far without him. He's one of the best downfield blockers I have seen in a long time. Honestly, he might have made a great safety.
It’s also rumored he’s the reason KLS transferred. Was making more in NIL and KLS dipped.
I read on several occasions that blocking was his strength at OSU. He was passed by a few younger players which is why he left OSU. The OSU site - Eleven Warriors - had a pretty good article on Fleming during the PSU-OSU week. He was well liked by the OSU players and fans

KLS was a problem on the team and it was good he moved on.
Yes,. Tell it like it is. There were better receivers out there that could also block. It was not a good decision.
Funny.. he was not a problem at Auburn. He was a problem because of the PSU Fleming joke of an NIL package.
WR will never be productive under Franklin. He does not have an offensive that prioritizes getting them the ball. You can scheme to get any WR open. PS has WRs with ability to get open if they were the focus. You are making excuses for losing and blaming the wrong people when it all on the coach.
Having Kotelnecky stay.....having Allar Stay......having much of the OL stay. I have faith that Coach K can design some yards for the WR. If we get back at least 1 of the RBs + young talent along with the strong OL. Teams will have to play up to stop the run.....we need to spend the entire offseason looking at our passing game and work to get some WRs free.
