Is it possible that Clifford got hurt, but could still play 75%, but JF pulled him thinking that the Iowa game was not as important as the OSU or Michigan game and not take a chance on Clifford getting hurt anymore. Think about it - this loss only affects the Playoff ranking now and has no effect on the BIG 10 Championship. And no matter what, PSU has to beat OSU and likely Michigan to get to the Big 10 Championship even if they would have won in Iowa. A one loss BIG Ten Champion goes to the Playoff. Even if PSU beat Iowa and loses to OSU, they would not go to the BIG 10 Championship and likely have a very slight chance to be a one loss BIG 10 Team to go to playoff losing to OSU and not playing in a Championship game. So the bottom line - PSU must win the BIG 10 championship to go to final four. Also, could get another crack at Iowa. Just sayin
