doing his Penn State minute.

He said he could see up to 4 underclassmen declare for the 2018 NFL draft and work out for scouts at next year's pro day.

Those being Barkley, John Reid, Manny Bowen and Torrance Brown. I get Barkley of course, Reid maybe, but Bowen and Brown? All four are good players, but question whether the last two would profit from leaving early after next year. Your thoughts?

The last 2 are absolutely ridiculous. Just laughable.

Reid... maybe? He doesn't have the eye-popping stats that would put him in a high draft position. I acknowledge that's not fair to Reid because he covers well, but that's just the nature of the business.

Reid has always been an academic first. I can't see him going pro without a degree (which, he may well have by then).

Really impossible to say either way without knowing what Brown or Bowen are testing out at right now and not being able to predict their statistics for next season. I think both will have really good seasons in 2017 and are very good candidates to be all-conference selections. Bowen's build and athleticism seems to be ideal for the direction that the NFL is moving in for linebackers, and I could absolutely see Brown testing the waters if he flirts with double-digit sacks next year.

It's also hard to speculate without knowing about any family or personal factors that might make a guy lean towards going early.

Barkley and Reid make sense but Bowen and Brown would have to have absolutely monsterous years. Not I'm not opposed to that, LOL, just a little skeptical.

Why in the world would anyone try to "conjecture" as to whether or not a Sophomore would declare for the draft - - - - - after their Junior year?

Why in the world (squared) would anyone care about what some knucklehead conjectures as to whether or not a Sophomore would declare for the draft - - - - - after their Junior year?

Just sayin'. :)

It depends on the seasons that Bowen and Brown have this fall. If they blow up like Nassib did than it would make sense

Athletically, Bowen & Brown are great prospects. It remains to be seen whether either can consistently channel athletic ability into being good every-down players. But, the ability is there for sure.
