One, I was VERY wrong about Ellis Brooks. He was awful last season and I lost faith in his ability to play LB. I was really, REALLY wrong about the kid and I am SO happy to admit it.
Secondly, what position on the team is now most improved over the last several years? Safety. New Coach...MUCH better play. Of course it doesn't hurt to have an AA back there in Brisker, but I really believe that last season those final two Interceptions would not have occurred, and PSU would have gone home licking their wounds last night.
Finally, no matter what, great defense never goes out of fashion. PSU's defense won the game for them yesterday. Georgia's Defense won the game for them vs Clemson. They proved that you do not have to score 40+ points to win a big game vs a quality opponent. Great defense and great STs never go out of style. Poor ST execution almost cost PSU the game yesterday. GREAT GREAT Defense won it for them
