Just watched the matches from Pokes' posting - Hall came very close to spladling Crutchmer.

In addition, the Pokes' announcers were quite knowledgable and even they knew that Heil was pinned a couple different times on the neutral stack. They basically called it as such and after the match basically said that Heil "dodge a bullet tonight.....he's been in some close ones this year, but none like that.....he was really fortunate to get the win tonight and really dodged a bullet tonight" or something to that effect (during the match, the announcer called that he was in a horrendous and dangerous position both times and said - he's got give it up and just give him the TD [i.e., the crotch-lock he had] to avoid getting pinned....) and then when the pin wasn't called the first time, the announcer said he was really fortunate and probably held onto the crotch-lock too long....

Great win for Mark Hall on the road in that venue against a tough opponent with the dual still in doubt. His poise shone through again. The announcers were excellent. PSU's conditioning really showed today.

One other observation - a great example of you can never judge what the outcome of a match will be by the physiques of the contestants was in evidence today. If you had asked the casual observer before the match if they thought that Cutch had a chance against what looked like a descendant of Hercules, I'm sure the answer would have been no way. Weigel is a huge 197 pounder.
