....closer than the scoreboard suggested (i.e., the beginning of the 4th Qtr - PSU down 21-7 after Special Teams mistakes had directly cost us 8 Points in terms of the 14-point differential - Short FG we missed via block/shank combo - 3 pts, muffed punt by Reid - 3 pts, and Absurdly high snap on punt - 2 pt Safety)... The Special Teams redeems themselves and DOMINATES THE GAME in the 4th Qtr. This game was won with "rugged" defense and incredible Special Teams play -- i.e., Franklin has them playing "Old School PSU / Pennsylvania Football"!!!
PSU absolutely dominated one of the best teams in the country in the 4th Qtr like I haven't seen in some time - including on daO$U's final possession.....the defense just rose up and said, "you aren't winning - NOT TODAY!!!". I haven't seen PSU dominate one of the best teams like they did daO$U in the 4th Qtr in a long, long time.....perhaps all the way back to 2005!
