Its probably not the porn in those e-mails that will get them in trouble. If they're dumb enough to send THAT stuff around, what ELSE did they get sloppy with?

Oh for crying out loud, the senders of the emails are no doubt deserving of scorn, but this idea that Kane has clean hands here is silly and naive. She skyrocketed to office out of relative obscurity in Scranton/ Wilkes Barre by leveraging her husband's wealth and connections to the Clintons. She is a politician of the highest order and is no stranger to hardball politics.
I for one have certainly never said Kane's hands are clean but saying she's being petty implies the mud slinging is a one way street. She's had a target on her back since she took office.

Why do you think she's charged? She was too petty to let Fina embarrass her and move on. I'm not saying she's completely to blame, GJ leaks are common and she's been held to a different standard. I'm saying her being petty allowed it to happen.
Besides, this ruling allows her to maintain her defense at trial. Had she just released them (emails) without the protective order being withdrawn, which she could have without fear since December, it undermined her case.
Now she can point to her suspension as proof people are after her. Fighting the release is pointless now.
I doubt there's anything worse than what we've seen. That's not an excuse or an attempt to minimize it. It's a judgment on how bad the previously released emails are.
Its now clear that the charges, the suspension against Kane were NOT to suppress the email release.
The release of the emails though, will go way beyond porn. Many many convictions will be overturned if there's any evidence of collusion between OAG and judges. Sandusky might be back in the President's box come bowl time.

So what? Since when has clean hands been a requirement for elected office in PA? Or is that just a requirement for newcomers? Get back to me with your complaints when she has ruined someone's life who did not deserve it.

Kane doesn't need anyone's help in being discredited. She does that better than anyone else could.
Wolf wisely thinks she should resign. The Republicans should want her to remain in office. She is the gift that keeps on giving. If you are independent of either party, you should want her to step down. The way she has run the AG's office is an embarrassment to the Commonwealth. I feel badly for the people who work there.
Corruption, it should be clear by now, is an equal opportunity game in PA--both parties are corrupt, and the higher you go in state government the worse it is.

The point I was making is that this isn't some Republican witchhunt. The court ruled unanimously against her.
Her flaunting of laws and court orders, along with her selective enforcement, are an embarrassment to us all. Just because there may be issues with members of the Supreme Court does not make them wrong in this case.
The Supreme Court is unanimous against her because she nailed one of their own. And I wonder if any of them are concerned that they might be in some email, somewhere, that has yet to come to light.

I don't recall anyone saying it was a Republican witch hunt. It is a witch hunt by the corrupt, against the truth.
One of the big problems is that very few Pennsylvanians have shown the capacity to be embarrassed by their corrupt government for the many, many years it has operated like a carnival skillo wheel. And, you can pick and choose which corrupt team you wish to win the tussle, but you should be aware that if Kane is beaten down, you will get NO MORE truth about the scum who scapegoated our University.
Suppose they beat Kane down and run her out of office, then the Paternos or one of the myriad other civil suits ends up in a discovery dispute that goes to the Supreme court regarding these emails. Do you really believe that if Kane is gone, and the threat that she will spill the water is removed forever, the SCt will nevertheless permit the ugly truth to be seen?
This is how you get to the place where everyone is scum and nobody can be trusted--by shutting down the truth by discrediting those who would reveal it. When you root for that, you root against PSU.

^^This. I've already seen some defense attorneys talk about this. They are salivating for retrials. The entire state judiciary is fuqqed right now.
If Kane is discredited and hounded out, the retrials will not occur. Mark it down.
