The reason Pribula has been playing is, while he is the second best quarterback, he is one of the best offensive players on the team. Hence, he plays. Since the coaches know what they’re doing, his play to Warren won the USC game and his playing time throughout the season prepared him to win the Wisconsin game. The third string quarterback is the third best quarterback on the team but at this point is not one of the best offensive players, hence he doesn’t play much. It’s not rocket science.
