Key to the game for Wiscy IMO...

I thought Bo did a masterful job of rotating his guys at the end of the first half just enough to accomplish 3 things: 1. Keep key players out of foul trouble 2. Keep his players fresh against a deeper Kentucky team and 3. Go into the half tied.

I honestly thought Wiscy was going to win at the half because of the way Bo handled the last moments of the 1st half.

To be fair they were the recipients of a few bad calls or non calls before that play. That slap should have been a flagrant foul which would have resulted in 2 shots and possession.

The other team going into a stall with 4 minutes left and a 4 point lead helps too. The loss was on Calipari.

I have always liked Calipari. He is probably my all time favorite dirty coach.

I agree. He's a great recruiter and a lousy coach at times. Tough to dispute that he wins on talent and not coaching.

Wish John Cheney could have told the world just how dirty Calipari was that day when he went after him!

Getting outscored by double in the paint yet shooting more than twice as many free throws is a key. Being allowed to jump inbounds to grab a ball and laying it in also key. Kaminsky hip-checking like a hockey player, with no calls, big key.

You sound salty. I find it egregious that Kentucky fans are

complaining about the officiating. Granted, the officials did not have a good game, but the charge on Wisc that negated a three pointer was a horrific call. The constant hand checking (more like an arm bar) on the Wisc point guard 30 feet from the basket was never called. Kentucky certainly came out on the better end of the calls, even the shot clock violation didn't make up for that charge call (still a net +1) in points.

granted I did not watch the game, but looking at the boxscore

there was a disparity in free throws (WI 18-22, KY 9-10)

but it seems like KY went away from the long ball (3-5 from 3 pt versus 7-17 for WI)

and KY got outrebounded 34-22 (12-6 on the offensive boards)

WI is a very physical team that can also shoot from the outside to keep the D honest

seems like Calipari had one game plan and did not make the adjustments he needed to win

Bo Ryan moving Dekker to the top of the key and inverting the swing offense with under 4 minutes to go won the game for Wisky. UK was doing a good job of taking Kaminsky away at the top of the key and Dekker on the block....Ryan just flip flopped them for 3-4 possessions and got 9 pts out of it. Way to go BO!
