Kinda OT: can I take cell charger into the Beav

Really bad service in the stadium.

I am on ATT so hooking up to their WiFi works a little kicked off a lot

No cell coverage from aTt perspective

Service from all carriers is bad at Beaver. I guess coverage is not meant to handle 100,000+ people in a confined area. Was surprised that Heinz Field was much better in terms of service, even before 70% of the crowd (the Pitt fans) left

ATT for a long time was total shite in the stadium but I was in in 2016 with ATT it actually worked halfway decently.

Switched to TMO last year and it was slow going last weekend in the stadium - notifications and email came through, managed a little bit of Facebooking but its still slow going.

The cell phone coverage not getting any better at games has always bugged me too.. Not just that, but the internet options you have in rural PA just sucks in general.

And yet, they still expect us to believe the 9/11 calls were made from people's cell phones while in the air...

bad cell service? we're talking about cell service at a football game?

You can take whatever you want into the stadium as long as you hold it over your head while they wand you

To each their own, but I can't imagine needing a cell phone during the game at all, let alone needing a cell charger.
At the 8:05 mark of the first quarter Saturday there had already been over TEN minutes of TV timeout. That’s more commercial time than game time! Not all of us enjoy watching the man in the red hat out on the field during such timeouts. :)

I guess if you went by yourself, yet weren't very social, you'd have a point.

You know what's great about this country?

I can live and watch the game how I choose to and you can live and watch the game how you choose to.

But thanks for enlightening us with your misguided ideas of what I do.

Where would you even plug it in?
fwiw , I have a charger that is actually part of a wallet. You plug the wallet in a home, and it stores a charge, and then when your battery gets low, you plug it in to your wallet and it recharges the battery. What will they think of next?

Enjoy "living" your life by staring at your phone, no one cares what you do. Given how terrible the service is in the stadium, and the fact that PSU football games are a special event that can cost hundreds to attend... it's just not how I would choose to spend my time. BTW... my ideas of what you do (e.g. facebooking) can't be misguided, since you put them in post #10.

I had to laugh last week at the group of people in front of me in NEU. I swear they spent the entire game with their nose in their phone. After one of our early TD's The one in front of me looked up and asked what happened. LOL.

I was surprise to be able to do a little texting during the game with Tracfone service as well as take a call--no dropped service. Better than it used to be.

This is a problem for all stadiums, there are only limited number of frequences and only so much data can fit in the bandwidth. They could have 1,000 cell towers in the stadium and it wouldn't help -- the problem is limited bandwidth.

I'm amazed that cell phones work at all with that many people there.

Fun fact: temporary cell towers that are typically brought in for big events like this are called COWs. Cell On Wheels.

Even when they roll in a number of these at the big festivals and things I attend, it's still a struggle to connect. Also when phones continuously search for a connection it kills the battery more quickly. If you want to conserve battery and not have to carry around a spare, put your phone in airplane mode until you need to try to connect. You can manually turn on wifi if you have a good connection there, even when in airplane mode, and that will both allow you to do some web searching while still conserving some battery.

Think about where Heinz field is located geographically and then think about where Beaver Stadium is located.

Where did you sit Saturday that you watched me? I was in EG. You couldn't have been far away. And for not caring, you sure seem worked up to attribute your idea of how and how much I use my phone during the game to me.

Further, how anyone choses to watch or not watch the game, so long as they do not interfere with your enjoyment of such, is none of your freaking business. Where do people like you come from? Who are you to insist if others don't do it your way that they're not "living" as you imply?

I’d like to take this up a notch. How about a section for people like me that really want to bring a recliner, a portable TV and a mini refrigerator.

I know that, I’m talking about the endzone at field level. You know be relaxed and at ease, but still among the real people.

Calm down man... I don't know why this conversation upsets you so much. You apparently can't read through your rage. I clearly said:

Where do people like you come from? Who are you to not carefully read my post and then fly off the handle about a whole bunch of nothing?
