Letter says that Trump will face pushback on all fronts. His own party won't want the debt to rise and democrats just won't support him period.
  • He'll nominate a conservative Supreme Court justice. Maybe a bigger impact if he ultimately gets to replace Ginsburg.
  • He won't get corporate rate lowered to 15% but 25% has a chance. If dems don't cooperate the reps can use the reconciliation rules that the dems used when they had the majority (only need 51 votes, not 60).
  • Trump will still require insurers to cover people with pre-existing conditions but will allow them to charge higher rates. No exise tax on Cadillac plans (NJ will like this) and no penalties for uninsured.
  • He won't get approval for the wall, too many political hurdles. But he'll have much more electronic surveillance. He'll block access for Syrian refugees and he'll reverse Obama's executive order that allow young illegals to stay.
  • GDP growth will rise to 2.1% vs. 1.5% this year.
  • GPO wants entitlement reform but Trump will resist.
  • More areas will be opened up for drilling.
  • Obama's climate change regulations will get pared back.
  • Trump will push for infrastructure spending which is doable but will not be easy. Republicans will want other concessions to pay for it.
  • Boost bank lending by relaxing regulations governing smaller community banks and crowd lending.
  • Trump will improve relations with Russia but sanctions won't be lifted. Too much pressure from European allies.
  • The U.S. will remain in NATO but European nations will have to spend more.
  • Trump could rip up Obama's Iranian deal (can't get the money back that we've already given them). At a minimum Trump could use executive authority to impose new sanctions.
Pretty much the end of the world as we know it, huh libs?
