this is the regular feedline from the experts on NFL, ESPN, etc. it is almost like they are wishing this to be the case even if it turns out not to be the case. my Stiller friends all wish that they had drafted the guy.

last fall he was not hyped this much as an NFL player - maybe a baseball guy. so listening to the experts I hear three things - what he did in the game where Oklahoma lost to Bama (who later got whacked by Clemson), and what he did at the NFL combine and Baker Mayfield's performance with the Browns. so what he did losing to Bama, and by showing up for interviews at the Combine and Mayfield's performance convinced everyone Murray was the next coming.

in pre-season the guy was pretty much MIA. they talked about his accuracy that he needed to work on - should that be something the #1 QB draftee has to work on? he got some confidence coming back against Detroit, and also Baltimore. he is being hailed as the NEW NFL QB model. Not sure what that is, but wasn't this what RG3 was supposed to be?

would the Cardinals have traded their #1 slot they used to draft Murray for NE QB Tom Brady?

this just feels like the same hype machine that was anointing a CFP playoff spot to UMich based on Josh Gattis becoming OC there.

I’ll be curious to see if Murray’s size is ultimately going to be an issue. 2 games does not make anyone “special”...still a better chance of him being a bust when all is said and done.

totally agree - why not let it play out before making decrees. not sure what makes the media experts jump so fast. if you are constantly wrong seems like you would lose "expert" status.

My guess is these are probably the same "media experts" that had said he was too short and that the Kingsbury system would be a failure....before any games were played.
