Lamar Stevens announces on twitter...

They are still going to underachieve with Lamar and Watkins and it will be the end of the climb for Chambers.

Wheeler, Dread, Brockington, Stevens, Watkins - with Lundy first off the bench.
M. Jones? IMO he's got to have a breakout year if PSU is going to get to post season. Dread is the only other perimeter scoring guard but he can't take the ball to the rim. Wheeler doesn't have a perimeter shot.

Has Watkins announced he's returning?

Don't count Brockington out when it comes to a guy who can score from the perimeter... So I hear

It all but the second post of the thread for the trolls to come and try to crap on the moment with their arm-chair point-guarding!! Lighten-up Nancy...it's great news for the program...can we please just enjoy it??? Did you not take your anti-depression meds tonight?

My bad, I guess we are going to make the Dance.

Oh, and I saw this morning that supposedly Cooper is getting an extension. Bravo to Sandy. Extend one of the coaches that has achieved even less success than Chambers.

It is great news but it is not going to change the final outcome of an underachieving season. I don't live in that shit hole called California so I don't need anti-depression meds Nancy...thanks for asking though.

Truly amazing how miserable some people are in their lives

It's obviously huge for the as there are no other proven scorers to fill his role. It also keeps Lundy from having to shoulder so much as a freshman, which he would have had to do without Lamar.

Wheeler, Dread, Brockington, Stevens and Watkins is a starting 5 in the top 1/3 of the conference. As mentioned by bdgan, Jones needs to step up as he will probably take over as the 'offensive PG' without Bolton and McCloskey will also get some more minutes too. Lundy will play some 3/4 depending on fouls and Harrah and Buttrick are at least competent subs.

If PC doesnt make it this year......

Given her ambitious building plans, Sandy has to save her pennies.....as if a baseball coach's salary will make a difference. Seriously, if PSU has no intention of competing for, at least, a conference championship it ought to simply drop the sport.

Stevens has done nothing but praise the university, the program, the coaches and his teammates. Guy gives 100% every time out and yet idiots want to rip on him?
FWIW, I don't think I saw anyone ripping on Stevens, more on Chambers and the team as a whole.

Just looked it up and saw that our baseball team finished in dead last place in the Big Ten.

I hope so but he only averaged 4 pts per game as a freshman. Reaves and Bolton both averaged double figures.

Let's hope he developed during his off year.

and Torvik has us preseason #21.

Interesting that a projected conference record of 11-9 equates to a #21 national ranking. A lot of folks are expecting the BIG to be loaded next season.

Although we seem to say this every year, Penn State's OOC scheduling is going to be critical this coming season, if they are going to make it to the NCAA tournament.
