Why would anyone in their right mind give her a 2 year extension after the failure that was the 2015 Women's Basketball Team?

Yeah, technically, it should have been done last year, but we had a lame duck AD and were still involved in some silly sanction thing involving the NCAA.

The athletic department is coming out from a cloud with a permanent AD and she is finally conducting business.

Actually they haven't won the big ten championship at all in 3 of the last 4 years. The had the best in conference record during the regular season but then choked every year in the big ten tournament. Didn't fair much better in the ncaa tourney either- only making it 4 of her 8 years as coach and just completed the worst record ever at 6-24 (or something like that). Then, given the season, anyone whose seen them play with the "eye test" saw just how bad and fundamentally poor they were as a team this year. Let's not pretend she's been any kind of stellar coach.

Better than hers. I didn't just set the record for futility at my company like she did. And if you, or your organization, considers a record like hers a success, you must work for the Obama administration.

She didn't forget how to coach. She lost Maggie who masked a lot of her deficiencies of having no offensive gameplan.

She shouldn't have been fired but really? It's been hard to say "that is a well coached team" at any point.

Good coaches don't get eliminated to inferior teams every year in tournament play, usually. She could be an outlier. Maybe next year they will outperform their talent level.

Her overall record over 8 years is 148- 105 (0.58 winning percentage). Conference record is 73- 64 (0.53 winning percentage).

I have been very critical of CW for the past 2 years.

I know she won a bunch of games, but check results in important games and the pathetic court discipline, failure to play defense and failure to design an offensive scheme that works in half court against teams with a pulse.

A couple of days ago there was a post about urging firing. I stated that would not happen because she was signed for a few more years and that the real test would come if she received an extension.

Well, here goes.

Major fail Barbour.

A politically correct decision from an administration with no courage.

Barbour has learned from the masters at throwing away PSU and tax payers dollars.
