so I talked to my cousin's husband who actually started for PSU at corner for a while.. man, he wouldn't acknowledge a single challenge.. he hates CJF and the players guts apparently.. He couldn't wait for CJF to get fired (said he will be gone after this year) He has coached football and both his sons played in one of the best football league's on the planet in Orange County.
This guy is a doctor (rational??.. lot of education..) and wouldn't give the team an inch. I never realized there were people that were that down on our team. Now I've pointed out that there is some clear dysfunction and some changes that I don't like (noting many resulting from unprecedented circumstances), but I always hope for the best. He played on the team with Blackledge.. it seems as though guys on that team have a real problem with our current situation. This certainly can't help.
Interesting his sons got to USC and UW and he is very familiar with SC and UCLA. Said Scrap is a good coach the the UCLA kids were talented but dumb and with small attention spans, forcing Bradley to constantly dumb down his D from what he would have run at PSU. Also said Brad uses "the same damn hand signals" at UCLA and he could call every defense pre-snap from the sideline while watching UCLA hand signals. Said despite the situation that Sandusky was a football genius (I would have to agree) and that Brad is very Sandusky influenced scheme and call wise. Said PSU has never liked west coast kids, even when he went there being from the west coast himself.. and they shouldn't bother with kids out here. The guy knows football at every level.. playing, coaching.. and has seen the highest levels of talent, PSU, OC HS football..
