Now this is the Full Court Spyker we have all come to know and love!

You would think that if Taylor were more judicious with that six figure slush funded NLWC salary he wouldn't have to resort to such pandering.
Well there are A LOT of wrestlers in the NLWC...DT needs our help everyone....LET'S O IT...I would like to see a goal or how much has been donated thus far. Probably not much since we just got started...Anyone know how to see ?

On the right hand side of that page, it clearly says Rio 2016, so we did not "just get started." I'm pretty sure those Olympics occurred in, oh, I don't know, 2016. Has anyone but Spyker actually donated since this thing re-surfaced two years later?

It's a legitimate concern and there's a blog on the 2017 US Open below the 2016 olympics logo. I think the website is current he just hasn't taken down the Rio stuff.

Seems like he could make some dough if he were still selling socks/T's/etc...
None of that stuff seems to be available.. I would think he would make profit off that and use it for his travel needs..

"He's" not selling socks, T's, etc. He signed an endorsement agreement with FlipsWrestling for headphones and for socks. He also signed an agreement with Adidas -- I don't believe the press releases specified what they'd be selling as part of the agreement, but it appears it is shoes.

FlipsWrestling changed their name to Scrap Life in 2016, and basically became Under Armour's wrestling brand. I'm not sure if they still market Magic Man socks. I couldn't find any socks on their web site. However, I could find Magic Man socks available on the Internet, so somebody must be making them.

With endorsement agreements, it's pretty rare that the athlete markets or sells the equipment. That's generally left to the other party, and the athlete will wear the equipment, and do promotional events for them.

This is what I meant. Not sell them personally but sign deals and have stuff sold. Would make him cash in the agreements.

I think it was like three years ago I bought my oldest son two pair of Magic Man socks for Christmas. He still wears them often, seems like I am always washing those damn things. Haha. For all his tournaments and matches he will only wear his red pair, he says it brings him good luck.

Could Ohio State be in his future???

There's a way around that whole washing thing, you know. Make him do his own laundry.

I've not represented any party on either side of these types of deals but my sense, from observing how many wrestlers in their post-D1-years conduct themselves on social media, is that they're either being cut in for a percentage on items sold via them, or they're explicitly contracting to promote x item x # of times over x months, effectively making the athlete a salesperson. I imagine there are still flat endorsement deals (wear our shoes exclusively, receive $x) but those deals are the baseline, they've gotten more creative in recent years.
