List of Sad People this morning.

I read Dave Jones' column this morning and it was pretty good. Meanwhile, jealousy rules on the Liar.

Put Herbstreit near the top. He looked like he was going to cry

I saw his post game interview later last night on ESPN. He certainly appeared dejected and had almost a flat affect- like he was speaking at a wake. Not his usual upbeat self when giving a game recap.

I think Herbstriet has generally given us a pretty fair shake. I thought it was nice the way they had him and Fowler doing the game to balance it out. Fowler sounded like he was delerious when Haley scored that winning TD.

Fowler is a closet PSU fan because he grew up in State College. He instantly said it was the biggest win for PSU since the 2005 win over Ohio State - who other than a PSU fan instantly draws parallels between games 11 years apart?

Herbstreit used to be good, but recently he is turning into a Don King-like promoter of Ohio State.

Agree

@FakeUrban from the OSU Rivals site...he may need some medical attention...he lost his only marble, he can't handle the truth: Penn State 24 Ohio State 21.

1. Mark May
2. Desmond Howard
3. Dave Jones
4. Ed Cunningham
5. CrazyPaco, or whatever they call him at the asylum.

The list goes on and on and on. Their pain is food for the soul.
Jim Harbaugh and Michigan fans are two important ones not included. They wanted an undefeated OSU for the big last game of the season.

Pure Al. Sucks to be him.

I had to look him up and see who he actually is. Another sad nobody.

Uhh...Herbstreit being a OSU alumni and all...I can't fault him for being a little stunned. The good news is with the playoff format, 1 loss isn't the death sentence it used to be. There's a lot of football to play yet.

He hasn't graded out the film yet.

Per 21 gums:

Offense: F

Franklin must start Tommy Stevens against purdue next week or he is an idiot. Bench Godwin, Hamilton, and Blacknall. Franklin needs to make wholesale changes on the offensive line.

Defense: F

Barrett completed some passes. Terrible performance by a slow defense. Lousy tackling. Franklin needs to change the lineup for purdue.

Special Teams: F

Franklin waited too long to start blocking kicks against a good ohio state team. Gulla needs to be cut because of the mishandled snap.

Overall Grade: F

A hollow victory and still not a signature victory for Franklin. He remains on the hot seat. barbour needs to start a coaching search now.

They really shouldn't let Herbstreit call OSU games. His voice inflection and energy changes depending on which team makes the big play. He has become a homer. And don't let Fowler off the hook. He stated that PSU has to feel good coming off the "scandal and SHAME". I don't remember the exact wording but he used the word SHAME when talking about this team and kids.

Agree. Fowler's commentary was not pro-PSU, to say the least.

You know why Fowler was delirious? Because it was an all-time shocking play that turned a big game. Listen to Sean McDonough's call of Sparty's fumbled punt return last year against Michigan to win the game. You think Sean's a closet Sparty fan? Uh, no. Not that I'm defending Fowler overall but when you're a big-time announcer, the voice is going to go up a few octaves to match the excitement of the play.

Funny how Fowler mentioned going to the SC win over Harrisburg on Friday night. Hope he doesn't get too giddy with that 8-0 Little Lions record with the mighty Rams coming up soon.

I think Fowler is pretty neutral but gets sucked into Herbstreits cheerleading for OSU. Herbie used to be able to appear neutral but since Meyer made them a powerhouse he has turned into a obviously biased announcer
