enjoy following the tournament; haven't there been some posters here who have done some handicapping of the field (AA and AAA) in the past?
I don't follow the whole state in detail , although I obviously know about some of the favorites. For District 11 AAA I think the over/under for state champs would be 4 1/2. Last year they had 7. My list in order of likelihood in winning states.
1; Labriola 170. Beca
2; Sasso. 138. Nazareth
3; Chlebove. 133. Northampton
4; Stefanik. 182. Nazareth
5;. Comacho 285. Beca
For the anti Beca crowd :
Labriola would wrestle for Wilson AA Camacho would wrestle for Nazareth.
I think Beca's 10 wrestlers will outscore Nazareth 6 for team title. Northampton could finish in top 5 with Festermacher, Moran and Chlebove all with a shot of making finals.
Sorry,Typo.I don't know how I put 133.I think Chlebove only loss was to Parker. I don't know the score.Chlebove is at 120.
Offhand I also think Nazareth 106 Andrew Cerniglia has an excellent chance at a title, maybe better than Chlebove because of Matt Parker also at 120.
Figured it out ,he has 33 wins.Sorry,Typo.I don't know how I put 133.I think Chlebove only loss was to Parker. I don't know the score.
wow....we're not worthyI will have a 23 page 6800 word preview complete with predictions for all 224 medalists - gulp - cominh out today for The Open Mat but I think it will be premium.
Will post a link when its published.
Toss-up on paper. Stefanik might have better credentials -- 3rd last year, lost to Hayden Hidlay in the semis. Destroyed Verkeleeren last year (actually, hammered both of brothers). Won Flonats. Ironman and Beast runner-up to Beard, otherwise unbeaten this year.At 182 I would consider Bonaccorsi from District 7 the favorite. He's a returning state runner up (lost to Labriola in the 2016 finals).
Chlebove hasn't faced Parker this year. His loss was to Nick Raimo (split with Raimo this year). Parker's 2 losses were to Ryan Anderson and Pat Glory. Chlebove beat Parker 3-0 in last year's final.Sorry,Typo.I don't know how I put 133.I think Chlebove only loss was to Parker. I don't know the score.
That sounds like the kind of keyboard dyslexia I'd suffer from.Figured it out ,he has 33 wins.
I tend to agree. Whoever wins that weight will have earned it. IMO that's the most stacked weight in Hershey this year. Fortunately for him, he has the easiest draw of the major contenders -- will only ("only") have to beat 2 D1 commits. (Yes, that's the "easy" draw.)Va Tech commit Cj Manley wins 132. He's been close, put in the work this year and looks terrific. All business right now.
Agreed, though his likely quarters opponent (Wert) has beaten him this year.132 Festermacher from Northampton is going to be a tough out. Has been tough to score on. I don't know if he keeps his head on straight for the whole tournament. Almost cost him last week.
That is awesome Dice! Great job, remember the little people when you make it big.I will have a 23 page 6800 word preview complete with predictions for all 224 medalists - gulp - cominh out today for The Open Mat but I think it will be premium.

I almost called it. Camacho lost a tough semi match. Festermacher got 3rd after losing 1-0. Moran made finals.I don't follow the whole state in detail , although I obviously know about some of the favorites. For District 11 AAA I think the over/under for state champs would be 4 1/2.
