(if rise means 8 wins max for the last 30 years with an average of 5 per year) They were a powerhouse (before Pittsburgh was evacuated and half the north moved to the south) They have passion (if passion includes 90s grunge bands at empty pep rallies followed by 18,762 at homecoming). Their 2 best players in the last 30 years were PSU targets who didn't even have Pitt on the radar until other ideas fell thru.. Fitz with grades and Shady with a host of baggage.. in all fairness, Fitz did get his degree from "We Are Phoenix" in ironically Phoenix, AZ.. which has nothing to specifically do with Phoenix AZ, where he got his Phoenix degree.. I haven't checked (too lazy) but I believe we had more wins than they did while were both on sanctions..
