Lot 41 Traffic; The Best way to enter and leave Lot 41, for noon and night games, is to use University Drive and NOT Porter Road. University Drive is under utilized.
You will travel 2 or 3 times quicker using University Drive than using Porter Road. Many of my friends use this, just do everything possible to get to the Lot 41 Exits onto University Drive.
Try it for the noon game on Sat.

The Porter Road exit was a mess and a half on Saturday. One poor kid was on Porter trying to direct traffic, and anyone leaving from the first 6 or so lanes nearest Curtin Road waited for an hour to get onto Porter. People were not self-regulating and "zippering" into the exit lines, they were just following the car ahead of them. I had to push my way in front of a car trying to do the same, as the guy just didn't want to let me in. Once the cars in that area of Lot 41 started to use the zipper approach, things sped up significantly. Still, being understaffed to the extreme (and with the State Police standing on the side of the road, completely uninvolved) is going to be a problem again on Oct. 2.

I have always used Porter for both entering and exiting, but the University Drive suggestion is a good one, especially for exiting after the night games. Thanks for mentioning that. Let's hope I remember to do it on Oct. 2!

Why would you invite more traffic to your entrance and exit route?

Why would you invite more traffic to your entrance and exit route?
Penn State is trying to lessen the traffic on the busy roads to equalize the traffic to prevent the traffic problems with the 2019 'Plan'. They even issue different Zone Passes for lots including Lot 17, 18, and 31 so you can come in and out on different roads ('N' & 'S' Zone Passes) thereby lessen the east and west bound traffic on Parks Road. Most fans do not know they made that change this season.
