End zone, guessing student section, the top third is empty. They must use the same fill-from-bottom-up approach as PSU.

Listening to the Michigan radio crew (running kids around, but wanted to catch the game). Radio guys commented about the half-empty student section and were perplexed just before kickoff how Wisconsin was getting students into the stadium. Noon game, lol...

It's a planned event. The first and second team needs seats to sit in and watch the second half.

Wisconsin has had this issue for as long as I can remember. Was the same story when I was out there in 2004. The biggest difference between PSU"s student section & Wisconsin's has a lot to do with Penn State's entry process creating a huge bottle neck, and Wisconsin's student section simply caring more about drinking and jumping around than they do about football.

It's all laid out here.

Every year the gods of football spend the offseason thinking of new ways to make it harder to attend games. And it looks like they are succeeding.

Somone in Charlotte was telling me the Panthers have allowed Ticketmaster to institute 100% e-tickets. So the only way you get into the game is to install the Ticketmaster app and use your phone instead of paper tickets, which apparently a lot of people are having trouble with. So they arrived in plenty of time for a game and the lines were so slow, they didn't get into the stadium until halftime. If I paid $150 for an NFL ticket and missed the first half because of Tickemaster bureaucracy, I would want someone to be drawn and quartered.

Good read.
