Many of you may recognize the title/song from "Vision Quest," which was/is on FS1 this evening. The song was recorded by Red Rider, though I had never added it to my MP3 collection. The closing song to the movie is "Only the Young" from Journey another great.

If I recall correctly, the male protagonist was a high-school athlete of some sort in the movie. 🧐

Great songs! Great memories! My best friend/teammate on the school team won in a postseason final in the *exact* same come-back way as Swain, on my friend’s way to the state tournament, the same year we saw the movie in a theater.

I read a WA wrestling message board post some years ago that told a lot of interesting trivia about the making of the movie. For example, the ref in the Swain/Shute match was actually the head coach at Mead HS just outside of Spokane. That's where Jordan and Chandler Rogers went to school before moving to OK. If I can find it again, I'll post the link.
