The greatest TV drama series of all time IMO is now being shown from the beginning on Ovation channel (#239 on DirecTV and available on many cable packages). Looks like an episode at 6:00 PM Monday-Friday and various other times.

It's now 10 years since this remarkable series began; in addition to the character development and plot lines, it's a great look back at the culture, fashion, and news of the 1960's.

Highly recommend it.

My favorite show ever. Nothing like it before or since and nailed the finale. And for posterity...

And, out of character, but awesome pic of Caity Lotz...

My wife has a cousin who worked on Madison Avenue in the 60's and 70's. He said their portrayal of working in an ad agency at that time was extremely accurate.

I like how the debutante "made him more comfortable" in the back of the cab. Appreciate that kind of consideration.

Joy is still my all time favorite. I would love a show about her bizarro bohemian family. Took a lot of guts for Don to leave that set up...

They have the whole series on Netflix and I bought all seasons on iTunes. When the mood hits (after everyone is in bed and I can enjoy a good old fashioned) I like to randomly jump into a season. Recently watched the episode where Honda is interviewing agencies and everyone has to brush up on their Japanese traditions (so Don, and debutante, goes to a hibachi joint and runs into Ted Chaugh). Love how Don gets CGC to spin their wheels knowing he's not even going to pitch because Honda broke their own rules. There aren't a lot of these sort of 'self contained' episodes but they tend to be my favorites.

In my top 10 of all-time. Good thing with this show is that chicks dig it so I was able to spend time with wife watching. Unlike Breaking Bad, Thrones, Vikings where she has zero interest.

Tip for everyone...you can do your binge watching via the Library for free. I joined 2 different county libraries in Ohio. Between them and the statewide share system, I have been able to get everything I have requested. Much better than dvr as you don't have to ff over commercials. Nothing is cutout and the dvds have extra stuff if you are into that. Back to Mad Men and dvds, if you lived near me you could borrow ours as we own the entire series. One of the few we purchased because we liked it so much.

Watched a couple episodes last night including the episode where Bethany Van Nuys made Don very 'comfortable' in the back of his cab. Episode also included Don's empowerment of Peggy by having her fire Joey the obnoxious artist in creative. I believe the episode after is where Roger and Joan are mugged (best thing to happen to Roger in a good while) and they make a baby. I still can't believe Don didn't bang Joan and/or Peggy.
