I don't know about you guys but I will gladly pay a little bit more to put China in its place. Though I suspect it's going to cost consumers a bit more than the 30 basis points reported here...

I am all for kicking China in the nuts. Why. Because China is not our friend. They make it abundantly clear. They've got bad intentions, and I don't believe in funding those intentions or their human rights abuses. Also, the article is wrong about one thing. China has already taken non-trade countermeasures such as kicking Christian missionaries out-of-country. I've got friends of the family who were kicked out after being there for +20 years.
So carry on, Trumpster! Just maybe this will incentivize my neighbor to fire up his plastics shop and start making those Chinese-made plastic bowls I see at Walmart. For a few cents more. If it takes people off unemployment then it's worth it. It is a tax I will gladly pay because I know where my money is going as opposed to being dumped into the ubiquitous public feeding trough. As a bonus, it will probably get some folks off the methamphetamines, too. So it's a win-win situation all around.
