Oh I get it...this is one of those cryptic “I’m a wanna be insider” posts for me to read between the lines and assume he’s back??
But what if I don't want to drink more Canadian Viking Ovaltine?
I personally have no idea. Just saw that guy tweeted that. It’s media day right? Maybe Bowen was just spotted with the team.

I've also read a few places that he isn't on the official game day roster, but can be added between now and 8/20. Being that he's practicing, I have a hard time believing he won't play, but who knows.

I haven't heard one word about him. I know you can go and see if students are currently enrolled, maybe someone can confirm he's no longer at Penn State? You would have thought you heard of a transfer somewhere but nothing.
I'm about as old school as it gets.
I doubt our coach plans anything around Bowen. He is so far in the doghouse he will be lucky to get any playing time until October.
Irv Charles is still showing as enrolled. I'm not sure how often it's updated, but Andre Robinson has been removed from there.

From Franklin's comments, I'm leaning that way now as well. JF says he's not sure of his role. Mostly worried about him graduating in December.
No idea what you guys are talking about. There is a pre-season practice limit of 105 players, which be definition includes walk-ons. If Bowen is practicing, he's included in that limit.
A rotation of:
Farmer (S) / Bowen (M) / Brown or Parsons (W)
Miller (S) / Johnson or Brooks (M) / Parsons or Luketa (W)
gives the staff a pretty quality selection of 8 linebackers to play with, and a starting group that would be one of the best in the conference on paper.

Wow and he’s listed at 238 so the Mike may be his spot. His experience is invaluable and I don’t think Franklin brought him back to be a back up. Doesn’t make sense to take a chance on a kid that’s not going to play a lot and contribute. My guess is he gets eased back in by Franklin and takes over the mike by OSU. The other option is that Brooks is solid at the mike and Bowen unseats Cam Brown. Cam Brown looks like a WR trying to play LB out there. He’s a good athlete and I really like him on special teams, but he is just doesn’t look comfortable at LB. To me this is a huge addition for our D.
