Many, many 9-3 and 8-4 predictions - are we undervaluing the 2021 squad?

I'm bullish on this season. Too many people seeing the road trips and saying "there is an L." There is just too much to not like: a roster that has been slowly building up in blue chip rating, the palpable sense of unity that often characterizes the best teams ever at Penn State:

Penn State WR Jahan Dotson: "The camaraderie around this team, I've never been around anything like it. ... This team is closer than any team I've been around. I think that's what separates us, the brotherhood around here."

Bookend tackles, a well seasoned if not spectacular QB, upside on defense with new additionals and yung bucks. I can't get this out of my mind but Dotson saying he wants to be 'legendary' this season during media day. The ability to platoon at RB. Top TE talent in the nation. Tig brown figuring it out and taking over at the S position next to the heat-seeker Brizzy. An all-pro's son at corner. Washington and his role. Just think WTF Smith and Jacobs can do on the outside. Having Scruggs who may be the best at that position when it is all said and done as Hartings. I'm looking for Ford to impress outside of just the traditional RB role.

Just seems like there is a lot of looking at last year and the schedule this year and people in the media making comps in the 3 to 4 loss area. This should be a very competitive, hungry team with a lot of firepower, the potential to push people around on the offensive line of scrimmage, and some top players ready to make their mark.
