The Positives:

We win convincingly on the road against a respectable B1G team.

Trace plays an outstanding game and shows the form that shocked the conference last year.

Our receiving corps shows again that it is the deepest and most talented in the conference.

It’s time to say it: Our defense is one of the best in the country. Not just in the conference. In the whole country.

Saquon was shut down most of the game but on one play showed why he’s the best running back in college football.

It’s gonna be late October, we’re gonna be ranked in the top-3, and we’re gonna play a game watched by the whole country.

The Negatives:

Northwestern stopped Saquon on those slow-developing RPO plays featured in the middle of the offense. Hell, even Georgia freakin’ State stopped it. And Michigan won’t?

Tyler needs counseling, as he's become a bit of a head case. And we’re gonna need him against the Wolves and Bucks.

The offensive line remains a question mark.

Bottom Line:

It's an amazing story. Top-3. Talent everywhere. Balancing the positives against the negatives, I think if we get honest officiating on October 21, we win. Period. But what are the odds of that happening?

Good post. Can't disagree with much of that. Think this is a great time for a bye week. Maybe they can use the extra time to work on making that RPO work better (putting in a few new plays?), getting the dinged up offensive linemen back in action, and working on the field goal kicking. Repetition can't hurt , IMO.

"Working" on the FG kicking won't cut it. A change needs made.

Not if they do not have a viable replacement. I hope they do. They should. As someone else, said, this is Big Boy, Power 5 football.
They gave a kid a scholarship. If he isn't a replacement, then they missed on their scholarship.

It would have made more sense to have Barbir kick off and Davis continue with FG’s and PAT’s. The fact that didn’t happen says a lot.

If you want to watch a slow RPO, check out Miami right now. It couldn't be more awkward.

I don't have patience with kickers. Most high schools now find kickers/soccer players that are accurate inside the 30. Hold an open tryout.

I'm not the one whining about things he can't control and I'll have no problem dealing with a change.
You had enough of a problem with it that you chose to comment on the very idea that a change might be made. Then you chose the word "whining" to divert attention away from it.
