Just another person who skated on this because it was a football problem. Notice how football isn't mentioned once, and Joe Paterno is only mentioned once and it's to say that he properly reported the claim to his superiors?
Are these some of the documents PSU is still claiming are protected by attorney client privilege?
Edit: Hey, we've got a McQuaid reference, like 20 of them. One time counsel for PSU and also involved with 2nd Mile. Imagine that.

Yep. PSU who has waived ACP on lots of stuff won't on Courtney's documents IIRC. Those are the documents I want to see because it'll be a real time account of what was said, discussed and decided rather than the "I would have said" stuff from 10 years later. Again, not sure why the PA media doesn't go after this.
By strange "coincidence" the only date that doesn't offer a daily total on the invoice is the date Courtney consulted with Schultz(2-11-01). Every other date shown follows the "** Total for M/DD/YYYY **" format.

I always thought it interesting that the Freeh report did not reveal the contents of any opinion from Courtney. Surely Freeh had access to any legal opinion provided and I can't imagine Courtney spent time researching a subject but never provided the client a written opinion. If nothing else it would have earned him a few hundred extra dollars. In my very cynical opinion it is easy to speculate that the fact the Courtney research/opinion/advice was never revealed by Freeh or the AG is a pretty good indicator there was nothing in said research that incriminates anyone at PSU. For example, suppose there is a written opinion from Courtney stating "if McQueary reports any possible abuse you should immediately report it to CYS and University Park Police", is there anyone who thinks we would not have heard about that 4 years ago? That would be a smoking gun and there would be no need for Baldwin's testimony.
Very true. If Courtney said something in writing that would have implicated CSS you can be sure it would have been talking point #1 in the Freeh report and his press conference.
IIRC there's some quotes in the article that say he has no notes on the 2001 incident but he said CYS was notified. Kind of hard to believe there's nothing in writing about that somewhere.
