Are these some of the documents PSU is still claiming are protected by attorney client privilege?
Edit: Hey, we've got a McQuaid reference, like 20 of them. One time counsel for PSU and also involved with 2nd Mile. Imagine that.
I always thought it interesting that the Freeh report did not reveal the contents of any opinion from Courtney. Surely Freeh had access to any legal opinion provided and I can't imagine Courtney spent time researching a subject but never provided the client a written opinion. If nothing else it would have earned him a few hundred extra dollars. In my very cynical opinion it is easy to speculate that the fact the Courtney research/opinion/advice was never revealed by Freeh or the AG is a pretty good indicator there was nothing in said research that incriminates anyone at PSU. For example, suppose there is a written opinion from Courtney stating "if McQueary reports any possible abuse you should immediately report it to CYS and University Park Police", is there anyone who thinks we would not have heard about that 4 years ago? That would be a smoking gun and there would be no need for Baldwin's testimony.Because, Dark Lord Leroy has instructed them to remain silent
