Mark Hall

The Scout board became completely unreadable for nearly a year because one poster, and a few of his aliases inflamed the rank-and-file. Or, more accurately, because the rest of the board couldn't resist slagging him at every opportunity, real or perceived, and then piling on until many threads became raging dumpster fires.

Let's not do that here.
Agree, I hope that doesn't happen here.

Posters got so paranoid that they began accusing every new poster as being another alias. In several instances they were correct, but there were other legit new posters greeted so harshly they didn't stick around.

Like most, Ames will need to be correct on more than a few tidbits before I trust his info. In the mean time though I extend my welcome to the board.

Me referring to Ames as JD was a JOKE. I thought that was apparent.

So the artist formerly known as Doe can make any claim he wants and rather than thinking critically about what motive he might have or where he might have come across the information, you'll just sit back and see if his guesses come true?

There is no way the coaching staff is telling people that Hall has announced his decision. That's not how they operate. There could be a good feeling around the program about their chances. (We heard as much from Dice yesterday. And Dice is a known entity who told us where his information came from.) Maybe the artist formerly known as Doe heard the same thing from his brother that Dice did from his buddy. Rather than handling it responsibly, Doe passes it off as inside info and let's his fanboys here insist that we wait to see if it comes true before we question its validity.

I also don't want a dumpster fire, but I don't think message board etiquette requires me to pretend I'm a chump.

Wow, you know all that from just one post? Impressive

You do realize of course that the coaching staff might not be the only camp to be privy to Hall's choice?

I'd tell you that it is Minnesota but I don't want to spoil Hall's announcement.

His reaction to Bruce and PapaBear's posts make me skeptical as they are eerily similar to those of John Doe.

You and I think alike, FT. Feigning to not understand why someone called him"JD" (after allegedly being a long time viewer), providing an alleged name, and the wording of the posts all make me strongly suspect the same thing as you suggest.

That said, Doe did have good info, so I actually tend to believe him in this case. Weird.

It's funny that a kid who has played it so close to the vest makes until a week of his announcement and now all of the sudden people have inside sources on where he will go.

Is it? Maybe he actually just made up his mind in the last week. Maybe he started telling some coaching staffs and friends where he is and isn't going. Maybe those people were not as tight lipped as he was through the recruiting process.

He won't make a decision until the morning before the announcement. He won't even think about it until he goes to bed the night before. He will sequestered starting Monday. This was the only way he could be sure not to give it away early.

Let's not do it again.

I would bet if you talked to possibly three staffs, they feel like Hall is theirs. I hope the new guy/gal is right, but I'm not wasting one second worrying about it either way. If he has an amazing source, it will dry up......you don't get to violate confidence more than once.

I am more excited about Friday night than anything. The guys we got matter more than the ones who might join the squad......no offense to young Mr Hall or Mr Lee or Mr Lee or Mr Lee or Mr Manville or Mr Beyer or anyone else out there.

Source says both Hall and Manville to gray shirt and spend time at the RTC and the OTC the first year.
Hall already passed up the opportunity to leave AV for the OTC, can't see why he would do it now while in college AFTER the Olympics in '16?

If they do that then we go thru this all over again next year. Sounds like fun to me. :D
Good news! You are wrong about that!

National Letter of Intent...Provision No. 10...Statute of Limitations
Once you sign and if for some reason you do not attend an NLI member institution, then four years has elapsed, the NLI is no longer binding.

This is in reference to when Hall signs his binding agreement tomorrow with The Pennsylvania State University.

According to this TwinCities.com article, Hall has already informed the coaching staffs of the finalists of his decision. You can access the article at THIS LINK.

Because he wanted to put a cap on AV and his sixth state title but would rather wrestle freestyle for a year than hang out in State College and do opens. He has already stated that this will likely be his route...didn't know Manville was going to as well.

Could they wrestle freestyle while working out with the NLWC (or at one of the other regional training centers attached to one of the other schools Hall is considering) or must this kind of thing be done at the main OTC?

Yes.

Jefe didn't write it up yet but there is a middle weight world domination plan too for the next 5 years.

Gonna be a loooooooonger than normal winter up in goofer land.

In cael I trust

Believe or don't believe matters not but silent verbals were given weeks ago.

Some accepted some didnt. But to respect the announcement is why it was quiet.

Plus I'm pretty sure cael etal would laugh at waterboarding as means to pry secrets out of them.

Some didn't accept his commitment? Really?

They can do NLWC
Makes sense. I was under the impression that Hall wouldn't be shirting and would wrestle from day one. Zain '49, Cenzo '57, Nolf '65, Hall would wrestle off Rasheed at '74 and Bo would go '84 and wrestle-off Cutch

I had to reread that as well. I think he meant some coaches accepted that it was over and others didn't.
So follow what others have done in the last few weeks. Those who accepted probably started to shop. Kudos to the respective staffs because things seem pretty quiet.

Yes. For example, Nebraska recently getting Beau Breske, and whaddayaknow, Tanning Bed U. just got Elijah Cleary.
