Matt Lee

I thought the "You might as well not show up, unless you're okay with second place" thread was almost subtle enough.

LOL - Yes, I've been trying to fight the good fight. I'm starting to realize that, no matter how nicely you try to put things, you aren't winning over there. The sad thing is that there are some great posters over there. Also, there are a lot more "Oh yeah, Sandusky" guys over there who drown out the good posters.

It's all perspective my man. As soon as I see an "Oh yeah, Sandusky" post, I know that a PSU poster just got done kicking an Iowa fan's ass in that thread.

Plenty of 125 prospects being targeted, it has been the underbelly of the team of recent but things are looking up and good news is not imminent; just stay patient.

Are you in the know or just wishful thinking? Transfers or new blood? Maybe Teasdale's departure has someone thinking or rethinking a decision.

Teske, RBY, Howard is far from a bare cupboard.

PS- I am not patient.

Yes, he's in the know.

And 2 of those 3 will never see 125 in college.

With the four major recruits deferring enrollment this season, do not expect them to start next season either.
We all care about the here and now, but they
are all going to redshirt and be primed for an outstanding 2021 NCAA season.

I once drive through Seneca Valley, jeez sayin. Meant to attach this to the 125 underbelly discussion n being patient

Love the implication, but Willie said he thinks Herrera will be a middleweight. (Not that this changes my mind about Herrera at all.) Guessing you didn't mean Chappell ...

So, putting this altogether, our lineup for next year could be:

125: Mystery Transfer Not Yet Identified, Teske or Schnupp
133: RBY
141: Lee
149: Verk
157: Berge
165: Cenzo
174: Hall
184: Rasheed or Brooks
197: Conel, Beard or Brooks
285: Cassar

Does that look right?
Ok to me too, might say Hall or Brooks at 174, based on a few things that are possible.

According to Dad, AB may not see 174 again. How bout lettin Cenzo eat over the summer too...Pipher would make a fine 165.

Manville or Lee are possibilities as well. Nice to have options like that and backups that are high end in their own right.

Aaron Brooks will not go 197 at least early in his career, that’d be shocking. Unless John thinks different?

Saw all of John B.'s quotes, at least I think I did. Seemed to leave the door open for one year. I have no idea of recent growth, though Aaron did go 79kg at the Schultz recently. Only a possibility...until it isn't.

What’s up with the Parker bros? Someone around here has to have some scoop

Scott would be a good stop-gap option for a RBY redshirt or RBY/Nick Lee slide up.

Matt had a decent RS year and might give Teske a push.

Indeed he did, but with our depth and firepower I just hate to see anyone cuttin, we just dont need it.

Interesting take. With two bonus point machines gone, and Iowa only losing Stoll, and Michigan only losing older Amine plus Pantaleo, the gap on-paper could close. Plus, while hugely favored, we haven't won anything yet in 2019.

Instead of cutting 35 pounds, bump Cenzo to 174, then hed only havta cut 26. Seriously I think we have 174 covered, especially if Marky opts out of Oly RS.

Scott retired due to a shoulder injury.

Matt left the team for undisclosed reasons about the same time as Scott's announcement. Heard some grumblings about dissatisfaction with Lehigh over Scott's injury but not sure how true that is.

IF Conel comes in next season at 197, which is entirely possible since both parties have already communicated, Michael Beard will get yet another season to improve. That is spine-chilling for the future wrestler's at the 197 lb. weight class. With Aaron Brooks locked in at 184 for at least 3 NCAA seasons, "AirBnB" will be a terrifying duo at 184 and 197.

Interesting... any source on that?

I saw this statement and the response and was reminded of this.

A case of unknown identity.

Mr. Brooks, I just have to say, as a fan, it is really cool how open you are in discussing things, open and level headed! For us fans we do not often get that, and we also should not expect it, though we do. We cheer your kids on as they wear our blue and white, so sometimes we feel we are owed access, but deep down we probably know we are not owed anything.

This probably comes across a bit rambling, but just wanted to say we appreciate everything you say and how you and your son handle yourself. I know you are a proud father, and have every reason to be one. You done good!

I’m a fan too and I like to speculate too. I know the feeling. The things that are already out there, we should share with the fans. Obviously, there are and will be things kept in house, but it’s no secret Aaron is wrestling 86kg for as long as he can. He can still grow another 10 lbs and still make that weight, so we should be good! I can’t see him getting too much bigger, but you never know.

Look, let me be direct for those that either don’t “know” A2S, or feel like being jerks: listen more, question less. Much, much less.

Anyone know when the NCAA Will rule on medical red shirt status for Cassar and Rasheed?

And thought I read that they're both not being honored on Senior day, can anyone confirm that?

Aaron weighs around 191. He is preparing for Junior 86kg this spring and PSU 184 if needed in the lineup immediately. Don’t know the plans. You guys are on it though. Lol, lots of possibilities and surprises for next year I’m sure.

Thank you John, so rare to have a legitimate “insider”.

Speaking of capitalization and punctuation, where has Rings been? Don’t remember seeing any recent posts.

Hmm so Matt is wrestling next year where?....

He is solid but doubt he can hang with Teske.
