Matt Parker

I think it strengthens the rumor that Teske is too big for 125, which I really don't believe, but who knows.

As good as we could've hoped for, at least in the short term. Provided he's healthy.

Also means we don't need to recruit a 125 in 2020. And not in 2021 if a 2022 candidate does not need to shirt.

I wonder if he's taking part of the piece of the 9.9 pie. A partial scholly at Lehigh could easily be more expensive than paying full freight at PSU as an in-state resident.

I don't profess to know anyone's personal details but Lehigh's financial aid is tremendous. They are at 100% of student need, off the top of my head, PSU (and other state schools) is more like mid 60s. There is a reason why they have the ability to bring in classes of 10 to 15 kids many years. (but nobody is accusing them of operating in the grey, lol)

That said, the Parkers have one less in school now, so maybe Lehigh would have been more expensive this year. Anyway, this is not a big surprise and I'm pretty sure that this was initiated from the wrestler's side, so I don't think this says anything about Teske other than he has another competitor at his weight class. Which is to be expected at every weight class at PSU - even ones with NCs returning.

I know there was some expectation that Matt would move to 133 at Lehigh like his brother and halfway through his freshman season that looked like a good bet with the size he had put on. But he's coming here with the intention of competing at 125 and hopefully he is fully recovered from injury, so the more the merrier. Schnupp has done a nice job improving over the past two years but it's pretty much a slam dunk that we will be improved there next year no matter who comes out on top.

he doesn't have a huge resume to say we wouldn't recruit a better candidate.
Good luck finding a better uncommitted candidate in 2020. Maybe better career after Parker graduates but probably not beating out SR Parker after a shirt year.

Sure, dip a toe in the water, but expect it to be cold.

So reading this read.....can anyone tell me how I am to feel about this add?

So many first world problems, that maybe we need to coin a new term to differentiate.

Just curious, did you have a total knee replacement? How long ago? How are you sleeping?

Totally Ruptured my quad over 4 months ago , just a fairly noticeable limp left, everything else good I’d say. Been a long road

How’s it going Mike? I got nearly all my knee range of motion back but still trying to get my gait back to normal, PT says it’ll take some time yet
Good to hear! I feel some “tug” at max range, but I’m pretty much there from a ROM perspective at 11 weeks. I waded steelhead streams last week with no meaningful limitation. Hopefully quad size and full strength are on the way. I walked 3 miles last night, and am taking my train two stops past my usual to walk another 2+ now. Keep me posted!

Willie hinted at this a few weeks ago that we would get a 125lb transfer. I guess this was him. Hoping we get gross to redshirt RBY.

If Teske can hold 125. Who do yo think wins?

Not comparing apples and apples but to give you a thought of time frame on recovery from leg injury affecting the back. 14 months ago I had total hip replacement.
In doing so they made my right leg about 3/8 longer to straighten out my skeleton. It caused havoc with my back. They had to change therapy session to include my back. I would say by month 6 it was better. An example, I could start putting socks on in a normal fashion. By 9th month much better. I joined a gym this winter and rode a lot of low profile bike and elipitqual machine. Now I just have typical discomfort in joints from my arthritis.
It will get better

Hopefully this finally brings stability to the 125 spot in the lineup, at least for a couple years. As much as the rest of this team seems to run smoothly, 125 always seemed to be in turmoil the last few years. Hope he can stay healthy.

Nice to have options at 125.

Thanks for encouragement n Glad you’ve recovered, biking and elliptical helping me a lot. Sure Makes you appreciate what you got , age has a way of doing that too, also I’m not Jason Nolf so things take me longer than A Super Hero

Thanks, saw there was no thread about the topic at the time, and figured it was as good as any to create an account.
The most important thing is to keep your posts to likes ratio the same. You are at 500% like to post ratio. Keep it up big guy. :) As a matter of fact, I am going to give you a like, just to put a little more pressure on you.
