Maybe it's because I'm older, or perspectives have changed....

.... but I am sitting here, tears running down my face for Barkley, Franklin and everyone involved with the program.

So happy for our PSU family tonight.

Happy New Year to you. What you tipping the scales at?

I'd like to really talk to you sir about your wait loss plan.

Can we??

Paleo...if a caveman couldn't find it or kill it, then don't eat it.

Breakfast... one egg, two slices of Canadian bacon, a handful,of blackberries

Lunch.....spinach salad with some protein...chicken, salmon, beef

Dinner...burger, no bun, salsa, guacamole, salad

Snacks.... nuts, berries, apples

I also will make smoothies...spinach, strawberries, blueberries, bananas and flax seeds

No cardio at all or anything??

How is your bass playing?

Gotta get back to it .... a certain lady is definitely attracted to it. Have been working on Billy Jean for her....happens to be one of her favorite songs. I can play it at about 3/4 speed but not at full tempo yet.

You’re missing “snacks” between your major meals. I would also lose the Canadian bacon at breakfast, instead substituting 1/2 of a grapefruit.

For your afternoon snack, I like the EAS shakes.

Even ole gambit got a bit misty eyed.

Love this team. I understand the emotion.

And of less importance I also lost 25 lbs this Fall. Paleo. No pasta, bread, soda. Lots of eggs, chicken, salad. It works. Went from a 36 waist to a 33, an 18 inch neck to a 16. Feel a million percent better. Still had my beers and bourbon.

I've followed Penn State football since 1967.

This team, these kids and coaches, this PROGRAM has "it" ... in spades.

I didn't think a lot about this bowl game or Washington until I turned on the pregame and heard how their DT was the best ever since the guy from Miami back in 1987's bowl (forget his name - age will do that)

I figured UW would take Barkley away somehow so I knew that #9 had to play well. What a performance by him, but where was that DT? The OL played great.

I will rewatch this game just to see the look on the UW fans faces after Barkley's 92 yard run.

I cannot underplay the effort by the defense.

Just so damned proud and happy for these kids.

How do you handle lunch? I eat Martin's Whole-Wheat Potato Bread, 80 calories and 5 grams protein per slice.

For lunch it is a salad with chicken usually. Sometimes I have a quarter chicken from the Salvadoran place. Never bread. I know what you are thinking with the calorie counting and Martin's bread --- but that's where the fuel going in matters. You have to be militant about reducing any bread or pasta. I'll have a little pasta (small, small bowl of pasta) here and there, but lunch (I'm talking work lunches) add up quick. Multiply that lunch routine by 20 per month and that's a big deal. I'll also have a hard-boiled egg a little before lunch to kill the cravings.
