I was in tallahassee yesterday for my daughters 8th grade graduation. I had won a helmet at 05 orange bowl that was half PSU half fsu and always wanted Bowden to sign it. Went to their home. Bobby out of town but Ann was great. I also wanted to give Bobby a copy of the book my dad wrote defending jvp. Before she knew I was going to give her a copy she asked for a copy. We talked at length and she told me how much she and Bobby enjoyed hanging out at the Nike conventions with joe and Sue. She said she misses sue and was so sorry about what she and joe had to go through.

Bobby will be sending the signed helmet back next week.

It was very cool and she was very very gracious.

Thank you so very much for spending the time to share that with us.

That was very cool and very good to hear.

Nice of them, but i still feel Bobby was out of line and self-serving in his speed to toss Joe under the bus. An apology for his comments and rush to judgement would be better than "feeling sorry for them."
That's a fair point. Bobby standing up for his friend would have meant a lot, especially to Sue.

Just FYI...

...he publicly supported taking the statue down. IIRC, his rationale was that every time there was a Penn State game on TV, the camera would always pan to the statue and the conversation would shift from the game to JoePa and the (ahem) coverup.

What I find disappointing is that Bobby, at his age, KNOW political correctness. He's been around long enough to know to let the facts play out first. But, right after the Freeh Report he was on ESPN flapping his lips to no end giving his two cents like a little school girl with an opinion.

Perhaps he couldn't control hImself. But, I think what he did was purposeful and calculated.

I think Bowden is too stupid to have been purposeful and calculated.

Not sure I really give a crap what Bobby and Ann think about Joe now.

Ann can be pretty ugly at times. I remember her statement that FSU needed Bobby more than Bobby needed FSU

I kind of remember that time around when the calls for Bowden to go were the loudest. Ann appeared to have a pretty pointed comment toward FSU and their boosters every few days that week it seemed. Honestly, I just put it up to a wife trying to defend her husband who she thought was being attacked unfairly almost daily. Don't know much about her other than that but I can kind of give a pass to a wife defending her husband in such a charged public debate.
