You have to feel back for a kid that doesn’t get the chance to continue chasing his dream.

Does Zeke get a free pass to face Lee?

They have extra guys weigh in now in case someone doesn’t make weight so I’m sure one of them will be announced as the replacement before the tournament.

....Or at least ready to weigh in. Northwestern 133 was entered after Jason Renteria did not make weight last year.

The NCAA Wrestling Committee will select two alternates per weight, one alternate per weight class will be invited to the championships. If any wrestler withdraws or does not make weight, the alternate will be inserted into the bracket. If wrestler being replaced is seeded 1 – 28, all seeds will move up one spot and the alternate becomes the 33 seed. If the wrestler being replaced is seeded 29 – 33 the alternate will replace the wrestler in the same place on the bracket, there will not be a redraw of seeds 29 – 33. Teams should notify the NCAA as soon as they know a wrestler will not be able to compete.

Too bad for the young man...injuries stink.

I guess this is as good of a place as any to ask this question....

What's the deal with 33 in each weight class? Why one pigtail match?

So...Moisey goes from a 2nd match vs 3rd-seed Lee to 2nd-seed Picc instead..after an equally tough first match
Bet he's relieved.
Not so fast -- now he opens with Elijah Oliver. Olivier beat Noisey at B10s -- in 18 sec.

used to be 330 wrestlers with no defined number per weight. now it's 330 with 33 per weight
