He’s a member of the Army’s WCAP and has been training with the NLWC for several months now. Go Morgan 👍
92Kg? or 97? Just curious. Super, super stoked to see him compete again.

I read a lot of CIA operative anti terrorism type novels (Vince Flynn god rest his sole is the very best). I often thought we would find Morgan dropped off the radar after his stint in the army. He was one of my favorites back in the day and I hope he gets the chance to see where his potential can take him. It's has to be brutally hard to be out of the game for so many years and try to come back and make your mark at the world level. I still insist it takes 3 years to go from folk to free and be effective at the highest levels of world competition. It will be fun to watch his journey, and a little bit safer than being a CIA field operative taking out bad guys in some foreign land.
Let's just hope he can overcome his homesickness while in New York.
I always felt Morgan was being the ultimate "team guy" by wrestling 197. I believe he could have been even more successful at 184, except some guy named Ed Ruth happened to be at that weight.
Morgan will be a factor next summer. Book it. The guy is training with Snyder and Taylor making them better but also making him even better.
That is a pretty loaded weight already. Kolodzick, Lugo, Ashnault, Heil, Begakov, Moran and hopefully Red. Desanto at 61kg is also very interesting
McIntosh was a very good freestyle wrestler before he enlisted. His learning curve is shorter than others'.
Coon kind of got thunderstruck in that match. Funny to see him at 215 lbs. Morgan beat Snyder and Cox in his career. Not too many guys can say that.
Now, Arena is completely offline, at least for me. Gonna be hard to follow this tourney without it.
That's assuming the back-end part of Arena is working--cause I think the bout boards come from the same thing. We may also not have scoring, etc, lol. Fingers crossed they figure it out.
Seems to me like they are waiting for Flo to fix their "stuff" to start the wrestling--though I did hear a table worker maybe telling athletes what bout# they are, no action has started, no signs it will soon apart form their singing the national anthem.

- 1:45. Flurry of action ends w/ the Kazak on top 2-2
- 1:00 Nick in on a single, but gets thrown to his back. Down 2-6
- 0:40 Double-leg for the Kazak. 2-8
- 0:11 Nick gets a body lock and go-behind and a quick gut. 4-8 end of 1st
- 2:44 Nick changes up his finishing technique on his single, gets a TD 6-8.
- 2:31 ...adds a lace 8-8, down on criteria
- Missed it, but Nick gets a point. 9-8
- 1:50, Nick w/ the takedown and 2 laces 15-8
- 0:56, stuffs a shot and easy go behind 17-8
- 0:01 adds step-out that's it 18-8--great mid-match adjustments. Guy didn't seem to gas too much, but maybe a little.

Morgan could have won titles at 189 but he wrestled 197 to help the team!I dont think he ever had to lose any weight!
Nick storms back from 8-2 down to win 18-8.
I’ve never seen a dude up 8-2 look so cooked. He appeared to let Nick get deep on a takedown at end of first in an attempt to hit a chin whip to make make it 12-2 and get out of having to go to a second period.

Didn't realize, but Nick's 1st opponent has done well--won Pellicone in '21, 2nd at Senior Asians that year, 5th at U23 this year, etc.
